Field Trip to Shelby Bottoms – August 28th

We will start on Mission Hill, and then work our way down to explore the overgrown fields and woods of Phase 1 of the bottoms. We’ll then make the short drive over to Phase 3 (at the end of Welcome Lane) for a walk along the river. Since the weather in August can heat up quickly, we’ll plan on an early start to take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures. Please meet at the parking lot on Mission Hill (next to the community center/dog park) at 6:30 am, and bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen.(Contact information: ms722@bellsouth.net.
