SUMMARY:FIRST of season RADNOR LAKE BIRD WALK...WEDNESDAY\, APRIL 19TH
DESCRIPTION:Join NTOS as we celebrate spring with our annual Wednesday morning walks…the first is April 19th.  Meet at 7:30 am in the west parking lot of Radnor Lake SP near the kiosks.  Jerry Webb will be your leader today. \nWe talk the same route each time so if you’re running late or stuck in morning traffic you can easily find the group.   We go up the road\, across the spillway and down the trail to Long Bridge where the walk ‘officially’ ends.  Feel free to continue around the lake and back to the road if you are so inclinded. \nResults for each walk are posted on our FB page and Tn-birds. \nEveryone is welcome!

SUMMARY:Duck River Field Trip Saturday\, September 10th....
DESCRIPTION:Come join local birding expert and photographer Chris Sloan this Saturday as he leads a field trip to the Duck River unit of the TN NWR.  Shorebird migration is currently in full swing\, and wading birds (herons and egrets) should still be present in good numbers as well.  Land bird migration is starting to tick up\, and of course there’s always a chance for a rarity or two.  We will slowly drive around the refuge loop stopping often to scan various pools\, bays\, and pastures for birds.  For logistical reasons\, carpooling is highly encouraged.  Please meet at the MTA Park-and-Ride in Bellevue at 6:15am or you can meet at the refuge entrance at 8:00am.  Please dress for the weather and bring plenty of water and snacks.  The trip should finish up around lunchtime or early afternoon.
