DESCRIPTION:Join NTOS for the 3rd in our series of Wednesday morning Radnor Lake State Park FALL MIGRATION BIRD WALKS. \nMeet at 7:30 am in the parking lot outside the Visitor’s Center by 7:30 am.  Today your leader will be Danny Shelton \nIn case you’re running late the route is always the same.  Up the road\, across the spillway\, over the bridge and down to Long Bridge where the walk officially ends.  Some will continue around the lake while others will return to their cars.  Your choice. \nCome join us for an hour or all morning. SUMMARY:OCTOBER 28th FIELD TRIP - Green Door Gourmet\, Nashville
DESCRIPTION:We will tour this 200+ acre working organic farm which is nestled along the Cumberland River right across from Bells Bend Park.  Featuring a mix of cedar forest\, upland hardwoods\, and large agricultural fields\, it forms a habitat mosaic that should attract a wide variety of birds.  We plan to hike around the entire property along a set of gravel and grass roads that visit these different habitats\, and the total distance traveled should be approx. 3 miles.  We have timed this trip to coincide with the peak of fall sparrow migration and plan to spend the bulk of our time exploring the open fields along the river. The farm also features restrooms and organic farm shop where we will conclude the trip.  We will meet at 7:30am.  PLEASE ENTER THROUGH THE GATE MARKED FARM TRUCK ENTRANCE which is off River Road – not the main parking lot.  (Contact information: ms722@bellsouth.net  Please include “NTOS Field Trip” in the subject line.)
